UPDATE: I have been wearing this skirt almost every day for a month and it holds up. I have yet to wash it. About once a week I steam it and that suffices to freshen it up. I’m doing so much less laundry now. I will probably hand wash it this week. All my friends have been asking about where I got it. Total strangers at publix compliment my skirt.
A Wonderful Wool Maxi Plaid High Waisted Skirt with Pockets, but a Not-So-Great High Waist Wool Midi Skirt
I bought both skirts and had very different impressions.
The Maxi Plaid one is beautiful, elegant and looks much higher-quality than expected. Even though it’s 70% wool and 30% polyester, the fabric feels great. The only concern is that it’s listed as not washable.
The Midi Wool Skirt, instead, was disappointing. The 50/50 wool-polyester blend looks quite cheap, almost like costume material, and doesn’t justify the price (113 CHF + 20 CHF customs). Cute from a distance, but not worth it in person.
In short: very happy with the Maxi, not satisfied with the Midi.
Lovely skirt. The fabric is so thick and sturdy. I was hovering between the small and the medium (29 inch waist 37 inch hips), so I went with the small. Gotta admit it is definitely snug. To others I'd reccomend get the larger size if you are in between, that way you have more day to day flexibility. The pockets are DEEP. My whole hand fits to above the wrist. As soon as it drops below 50 again here in Florida I'll be living in it.
